🇭🇹🔥 THROWBACK THURSDAY… LET ME TAKE Y’ALL BACK! Back in 1994–1995, I used to watch SWEET MICKY play soccer at ALMONT PARK on Sundays when he was in town! ⚽😂 Now a days I gather musicians at my studio to rehearse the classics. 🎶 WHO REMEMBER THE PINK HATS? 🩷🎩 In the ’90s, Micky had EVERYBODY rocking pink hats, especially during his legendary return to #HAITI on FEBRUARY 8, 1996! 🇭🇹🔥 I DIDN’T JUST HEAR THE STORIES… I LIVED THEM! I’ve witnessed some of #HMI’s greatest moments and collected archives from around the world. THAT’S WHY WE CREATED LAKAY KONPA! ❤️💙 To preserve our music, celebrate our history, and pass the legacy to the next generation! 📅 SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 22ND, 2026 📍 MIXX360 🎟️ Tickets: https://posh.vip/f/f1d00?t=powaserg THIS IS MORE THAN A PARTY… THIS IS OUR HISTORY! 🇭🇹 #SweetMicky #Konpa #HaitianMusic by @sneezus87
🇭🇹🎶 1999, #HAITI … WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE! I still remember LIMELIGHT nightclub on Route de Frères, right across from DJUMBALA. That’s where I first saw KONPA KREYOL live! 🔥 Some of my greatest memories were riding around with the legendary JOUBERT CHARLES in that brown Isuzu Trooper, with a trunk FULL of CDs! 💿😂 I grew up watching KONPA KREYOL on TELEMAX Saturday nights, listening to B.S. on Galaxie FM playing live recordings from Saturday night bals… recordings I already had in my collection! 😂 I was always TEAM NOUVEL JENERASYON! 🇭🇹 @tjozenny IS A LEGEND! And look at @mana.fit_ in this rare footage from KONPA KREYOL’s first trip to NEW YORK! 🔥 This is why I share my archives. Not for likes, not for clout, but because OUR KONPA HISTORY DESERVES TO BE PRESERVED! ❤️🇭🇹 I was there to experience these moments, and now I want the next generation to experience them too! 🗓 SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 22ND 📍 MIXX360 🎶 LAKAY KONPA — VOL. 4 We’re celebrating the MUSIC, the MEMORIES, and the LEGENDS who made us fall in love with KONPA! 🎟️ GET YOUR TICKETS: https://posh.vip/f/f1d00?t=powaserg 💬 WHO REMEMBERS KONPA KREYOL, TJOE & THE NOUVEL JENERASYON ERA? 🇭🇹🎶 LET ME TAKE Y’ALL BACK TO THE SUMMER OF 1998… 📼🔥 Parents shipped us off to spend the summer with Grandma in #Haiti, and I was lucky enough to witness ZIN’s legendary KANPE SOU BIT TOUR! 🎶 Back in NYC, When we stayed at @ashtheo.konpa house, where her dad, the legend PIERRO, had exclusive ZIN live recordings. Some unreleased, some rare… AND I STILL HAVE THEM ON DAT TAPES! Sounding CD quality to this day! 📼🔥 Fast-forward to 2000, when ALAN CAVÉ dropped his solo album. I remember Joubert Charles bringing 500 copies to THEO MINI MARKET! That album gave us timeless hits we still play today! 💿 And don’t forget where it started… ZIN & ALAN CAVÉ — LAGE’M, technically consider to be his 1st solo album! I was only 7–8 years old, but I WAS THERE! These aren’t stories I heard… THESE ARE MEMORIES I LIVED! 💯 KONPA ISN’T JUST MUSIC TO ME… IT’S IN MY DNA! 🇭🇹❤️ We’re celebrating that history SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 22 at MIXX360! 🔥 🎟️ GET YOUR TICKETS NOW! https://posh.vip/f/f1d00?t=powaserg #LakayKonpa #AlanCave #ZIN #KonpaHistory by @sneezus87
🎶🇭🇹 A LITTLE KONPA HISTORY FROM MY PERSONAL ARCHIVES! 📀🔥 Quick story about why I made this post today… Yesterday, my homie @keefthedj told me to link up with him. While I was on my way, somebody stopped me in a clean G-Wagon. I looked over, and it was none other than HMI LEGEND @leslylagredel 4X4! 🙏🏽🔥 That moment brought me right back to 2006! I was just 18 years old when Nicky went solo, and Lesly personally handed me this EXACT SAME CD to pass out to all my friends. That very night, Nicky was scheduled to perform alongside T-Vice at the Sheraton Hotel in Braintree, Massachusetts. 20 YEARS LATER, THE HISTORY STILL LIVES! 🇭🇹❤️ This is why I, DJ PowaSerge, continue to celebrate and preserve KONPA MUSIC! I’ve been around this culture for years, and trust me, I HAVE STORIES FOR DAYS! 📀 And one thing I’ll always say about @nickenson_prudhomme : HE’S A LOYAL DUDE! When I decided to throw my very first Konpa Day Party, I called him. No hesitation, no questions. His response was simple: “I’M THERE!” 🙏🏽💯 That’s the kind of history, loyalty, and love for our music that deserves to be celebrated. 📅 SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 22ND, 2026 🎶 LAKAY KONPA VOL. 4 📍 MIXX360 | MALDEN, MA We’re celebrating the music, the memories, and the legends who helped shape our culture! 🇭🇹 🎟️ GRAB YOUR TICKETS NOW: https://posh.vip/f/f1d00?t=powaserg 💬 WHO REMEMBERS WHEN NICKY FIRST WENT SOLO IN 2006? Last Friday at @thevinylsocial1965 was a beautiful reminder of why I fell in love with DJing in the first place. 💿❤️ Being able to organize the records, prepare every selection, and actually tell a story through vinyl brought me back to the true craft of being a DJ. Not just playing songs people already know — but taking risks, introducing records, creating moments, and showing the little details that make DJing an art. That night allowed me to express a level of love, preparation, and passion for music that sometimes gets lost in today’s DJ culture. To everyone who came out, listened, danced, and understood the passion I was displaying — THANK YOU. 🙏🏽 Some people DJ because it’s a service… Some of us still DJ because we genuinely love the craft. 💿🎶 LONG LIVE THE ART OF DJING. 🔥 by @sneezus87
🙏🏽 THANK YOU TO EVERYONE 🙏🏽 @thevinylsocial1965 started as just an idea… and watching it grow into something real has been truly beautiful. ❤️💿 None of this happens without the love, support, and energy of our community. Every person who came out, danced, smiled, sang along, shared a moment, or simply believed in the vision — THANK YOU. Boston is filled with beautiful people, rich culture, amazing music, and unforgettable vibes… and we’re grateful to create a space where all of that can come together. 🙏🏽✨ This is only the beginning. The next Vinyl Social will be announced soon… and we can’t wait to create more memories with you. ❤️ #TheVinylSocial #Boston #BostonNightlife #VinylCulture #Community by @sneezus87
