The Mazdaspeed makes its speed with a shove of torque instead of revs, which is the least Miata thing about it. Everything else is a regular NB2, right down to a cup holder lid that steals your elbow rest all day. You'll baby the boost and let it cool before shutdown. Underneath, it is still an ordinary Miata.

The MSM does not run hotter. It literally has the very best factory radiator that ever came in a Miata, which actually competes with the FM/Super Miata triple pass rads. I don't see temps higher than 204°F at hot trackdays over 100° F.
