We did something pretty cool today 🫢 — our very first Sandwich Friday featuring the Hawaiian garlic shrimp.
So proud of us, and definitely planning more to come. Bringing a sandwich “pop-up” into our regular Friday service was a little chaotic 😅, but we made it happen — and it was truly a success, thanks to the incredible help and support of our wonderful team.

And that house-made Bánh mì bread though… 👀🔥

Mid-Autumn festival at Rose Ave over the years have been so special because we got to bring so many different kinds of mooncakes to the DMV. If anyone knows, you know these are a labor of love. I have spent so many hours, days, weeks creating these little bundles of joy. Available this weekend at the bakery, and only this weekend! An assortment of red bean, black sesame Oreo, mungbean banana cookie, and cosmic brownie.
Ube butter mochi might be unassuming, but she is absolutely delightful and gluten free! Soft, moist, enjoyably chewy, and not too sweet. We have had it on the menu for a few months now and are ready to change up the flavor. Have you tried it?

It’s been 6 years since we were last featured in the @washingtonpost Weekend section. The first time, we had just opened, during the pandemic, and among a small group of bakeries trying to make it through an incredibly uncertain time. And now, 6 years later, to be included among DC’s 40 Essential Eats, ft the iconic passion fruit doughnut, feels special. It reminds us that we are still here because of the love and support of our community. ❤️ From the outside, it can look like we’re always busy and successful. But what people don’t always see are the slow days, long nights, early mornings, challenges, and the immense amount of work it takes to keep a small bakery business going day after day. Throughout all the moments of self doubt, we keep showing up because we believe in our team, the work, and what we’ve built together. 6 years later, we’re still waking up at 2am, still learning, still figuring it out, and still pouring everything we have into bringing the DMV the best food and drinks we possibly can. To everyone who has supported us, celebrated with us, bought a pastry, told a friend about us, or simply walked through our doors — thank you. You are the reason we get to keep showing up. 6 years later, we’re still serving the iconic passion fruit doughnut. ❤️
