Yesterday, I spent the whole day at the RISE Summit 2026, organised by @patrickspeech — and honestly, every minute was worth it! ✨
The theme, “From Cradle to Contribution,” was not just a beautiful statement; it was brought to life throughout the programme.
The keynote sessions were insightful, the panel discussions were thought-provoking, and the conversations around inclusion, growth, support and creating opportunities for every individual were truly impactful.
I was honoured to participate as a Sign Language Interpreter, helping to make the conversations, knowledge and experiences shared at the summit accessible to members of the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community. 🤟🏽
For me, interpreting is more than putting spoken words into signs.
It is about access.
It is about connection.
It is about making sure that when important conversations are happening, Deaf people are not left out of the room.
This is why I do what I do.
Because inclusion is not complete until everyone can participate, contribute and be heard.
