The Little Tweet Library is officially open!!!
Brayden and I are both huge bookworms! We read a lot, buy way too many books, talk about them constantly, and are always handing someone a book we think they need to read. Books have brought so much into our lives, and we love getting to share that with other people.
We also really love our community and the people in it. Finding ways to serve and give back is important to us, so becoming Little Free Library stewards felt like such a natural fit.
Literacy is especially personal for me. As some who has dyslexia, becoming a reader has helped me tremendously. Reading hasn’t always come easily to me, which is part of why I know how important it is to have books around, to be encouraged to keep reading, and to eventually find the books that make you want to keep going.
With the literacy crisis we’re facing, we wanted our library to have something for everyone. We have three boxes with books for children, young adults, and adults, all free to take, read, keep, or pass along.
It may be a small thing, but it’s something we can do right here for a community we love!
And we really hope you’ll be part of it. Stop by when you’re out for a walk, take something that catches your eye, leave behind a book you loved, or tell someone who might enjoy it. We’d love nothing more than to see these books making their way through the hands and homes of our community!
