Those heavy period days can get really busy, and when that happens, it's easy to lose track and forget you had one in.
What I wish more people knew is that a forgotten tampon usually causes strong-smelling discharge, which often gets treated as BV while the real cause is still there.
And it can't get lost inside you, even though you might have heard that before. It can just sit high enough, and be positioned in a way, that you don't feel it.
If you think one might be stuck, you can try to remove it gently, or let your doctor or urgent care help if it’s difficult or you can't reach it. Removing it takes only a couple of minutes, and nobody there will judge you.
One thing you should remember is that if you get a fever, a rash, vomiting, or feel faint while using a tampon, please go to the ER.

I heard a Dr say she removed one from a patient, the smell was so bad they couldn't dispose of it in the trash. It had to be placed in a closed jar THEN trashed. I used one before as a senior in high school. I placed the ENTIRE applicator in, it was so uncomfortable. Then proceeded to walk to the store with my girls. That was the longest walk EVA!!! Never again!!!

My cycle started when I was 9 so o never used a tampon and still to this day I dont. Give me a pad all day . Ion care how big that muthafucka is im gone lay it in the seat of my draws with pride😂😂😂😂😂
