i empathize so badly with this, i didn't lose my mother per se, but she neglected and abused me my entire childhood and still does. she is obsessed with my brother and completely pretends as if i don't exist anymore, never helps me and genuinely makes me feel as if im a stranger in her home. i see mothers loving their daughters in fiction and i get so desperate to feel that from my mother too. i know she looks down on you and is proud of how far you have come

I'm jealous of seeing people with their Mom's but the mainline reasoning is different. My Mom was...something else and due to her, my brother's and I grew up pretty messed up. Thing is is that I still wanted her back in my life. As I became a Young Man, I offered her the chance to be back in my life because despite all she put me through, all the pain she caused me, I still loved her as my mother. All I asked was for an apology for my brother's and I. We deserved that. Up until the end simply lied again and again until she passed away. I get angry every now and again because I wanted her in my life yet she decided to keep to her old damaging ways. With her gone, I just curl up a lot and wish she was here. I wish things were different. I wish I had her in my life and that she was the mother my brothers and I needed. Im jealous of my friends. They all have their loving and caring Moms and...well, I just have to deal with the fact that ill never have mine, if I ever had her at all

Sometimes, we don’t really heal. Sometimes, what we call healing is merely pain being buried deeper and deeper within us, until we no longer feel it the way we once did. But then something reminds us of someone we’ve lost, and suddenly, that buried ache rises to our throats, leaving us suffocating within our own bodies, despite being perfectly free to breathe. And it’s okay to admit that you haven’t healed. After all, what even is healing? Is it forgetting the ache, growing numb to its presence, or simply learning to live with what we can never change? I still have my mother, and I thank God for that. So I won’t pretend to understand the depth of your loss. But I can understand why hearing others speak poorly of their mothers hurts you. Perhaps it’s not just their words, but the thought of all the moments you wish you could still share with yours. The conversations, the embraces, and the memories that never had the chance to become memories. It’s strange how easily we take for granted the very blessings someone else would give anything to have again. And perhaps grief is simply love that has outlived the moments it was given to express itself. I hope life treats your heart gently, even on the days when the memories don’t.

For me I did feel the somewhat same when a family member (not mom) I cared about passed. I still do think that I should've tried to spend more time with them. The jealousy thing I didn't get. But what's done is done. I just hope I at least learn something important when they or anyone else in my life passes. I the most annoying part is I can't tell if I'm learning or growing when someone passes. Is it a good thing to notice you cried less at the second funeral even though that person was just as important as the last? I don't know. To be fair they were both old and after the 1st the 2nd had to come eventually but still. Not sure if this is the right thing to say but I hope you feel better.

I know everyone is gonna clown on me for this but I don’t care, losing some that you have no time with is a traumatic experience that no one should ever experience. And it feels worse when we see others have that connection and either appreciate and love their mothers so much or they argue or complain with their own like you’ve stated. I’m here to tell this to you and everyone but you’re not alone. There has been one person that has never left you since day one of being here in this earth, has seen your pain and sorrows, and overall understands you completely. And that person is Jesus Christ. Now, why am I talking about Christ when this person here is talking about her painful experience instead of you know, say something more encouraging than a “religion?” Well, it’s because Jesus Christ went through the same process that we are experiencing now, and the things we have been through are heartbreaking to him. The world has their own rules and tend to change so much making our lives more difficult, but with Jesus Christ, he is peace and quite the opposite of the chaos. You don’t need to “get things right” before meeting with him. He simply asks us to come to him. Matthew 11: 28-30 “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Remember, you are not alone, whatever you are going through, God sees it in all of our lives and he gave up for his one and only son for all of us because we matter to him and deeply cares and loves us all like a father or mother would towards their sons or daughters. May you and all your lives be blessed with a wonderful and blessed future ahead. Always remember that your lives are precious and worthy. And that God sees you not from your past, but the real you that he beautifully created in his lovely image. Have a wonderful rest of your week everyone and stay safe as always, God bless you friend. ❤️
