I went to the @sspowwow this weekend on Saturday. I laughed, I cried, I enjoyed fry bread, dancing, amazing regalia, the Grand Entry and could not walk away without supporting various vendors, artisans and makers.

This amazingly crafted piece by @nativedesigns_byquezada caught my eye and inevitably left around my neck. Wild Horse (Magnesite), Turquoise, Red Shell, Coral, and Lapis are so vibrant and colorful, yet soft and soothing. I love that it's a Diné maker, and completely one of a kind.

Powwow will be in Austin, November 21 at the Native American Cultural Center.

Pari päivää lonkan tähystyksestä toivuttu! 🩼

Pinne poistettiin ja positiivinen yllätys oli se, että labrum olikin ehjä (toisin kuin magneettikuvat antoi ymmärtää). Vastapainoksi reisiluun pään rustopinnasta löytyi tarkkarajainen, vaikea-asteinen rustovaurio.

Nyt kuitenkin focuksena on keskittyä siihen, mihin pystyy ite vaikuttamaan, eli olemaan riittävän rauhassa näin alkuun. 🩵

Täytyy sanoa, että aika taitaa kullata muistot (toinen puoli operoitu 2018), sillä en muistanukkaa kuinka hirveetä tää on. 😆 Rehellisesti sanottuna lonkka on aiva v**un kipiä. Tarvin kaikessa apua ja lonkassa on välillä tunne, niinku se irtoais kuopastaan. 🥲

Nyt vaaditaan vaan malttia ja kärsivällisyyttä. Eiköhän tästä vielä päästä jaloilleen, kirjaimellisesti. 🩼😂😘

Drug detection dogs are specially trained to recognize certain scents and alert their handlers when they locate them. With an incredible sense of smell, they can detect odors hidden inside vehicles, packages, luggage and other places that might be difficult for humans to search.

For the dog, though, it’s essentially a game. Find the target, alert the handler and earn a reward — whether that’s praise, playtime or a favorite toy.

So while officers deal with everything that was seized, their four-legged partner might just be thinking about one thing: mission accomplished… now where’s my toy? 😂
