Here's a different way of reading the psalms, take 88 for example. Read it from the perspective of animals in a slaughterhouse. To animals we are like gods as we were created in God's image and made custodians of this planet. When we don't need to consume animals to survive we are spilling blood because we like the taste or because we're used to it because of food traditions.

travel lightly. The words of men are too much weight. The Word of God is lighter carry it instead.
