The @black_sheep_us Bakurai Urchin has been extremely effective for me not only on the slow fall presentations but also really seems to drive the bite with a more aggressive jerk/pop style retrieve. The bait is constructed from TPE like other urchins but the ribbing and mace style ends of the tentacles generates more exaggerated movement and water displacement when the bait is fished quickly. It just seems to convert more strikes, and a simple jighead rigging works just fine when fished in this way.

The other nice thing is the bait isn’t crazy expensive at $12.99 for the 17mm
