Ever wondered what it’s like to be an English Teaching Assistant in Slovakia?
It starts in the classroom, but it doesn't end there. Over the past month, our ETAs have been engaging with their communities in ways that go far beyond English lessons. From cooking pancakes, tacos, and New York-style bagels with their students to trying floorball for the first time.
Outside the classroom, the ETAs have been discovering Slovakia together. From white-water rafting near Liptovský Mikuláš to taking on the Košice Marathon. They are embracing new experiences while learning more about the country and its culture.
Whether sharing a meal, playing sports, or exploring Slovakia, these moments are at the heart of the Fulbright mission: fostering mutual understanding through lasting personal connections and cultural exchange.
Stay tuned to follow their journey throughout the year! ✨
