I’ve learned a lot over 10 years of building businesses. Here are five lessons that have stayed with me.
1. Plans change. Do your part, but accept that the timing isn’t always up to you. Trust God with what you can’t control.
2. Keep going without the applause. You can’t rely on other people’s approval to believe in what you’re building.
3. Pray for the ability to manage what you’re asking for. More clients, money and opportunities come with more responsibility.
4. Use the quiet periods to learn. How you manage money, handle pressure and treat people matters as the business grows.
5. Don’t wait until you’ve made it to enjoy your life. Make room for the people and experiences that matter to you now.
