Day2/30: This morning I was reflecting on what happens when we express ourselves and suddenly… we cringe.

We become self-conscious.
We edit the aliveness.
We lose connection with ourselves as we imagine how we’re being received.
Our voice and our body constricts.

And if you’ve ever experienced being unheard, dismissed or minimised, perhaps you’ve learned to monitor yourself closely by editing, softening, even erasing parts of yourself.

I wonder what becomes possible when we stop looking for ourselves in the eyes of others.

✨What happens when we see ourselves first?
✨Hear ourselves first?
✨Meet our own gaze first?

The more I return to my own internal experience, the deeper my trust becomes in my knowing, my rhythm, my way of expressing.

And I wonder…

Whose gaze are you imagining when you express yourself?

What might change if you let yourself be the first person you truly listen to?

If this touches something in you, my DMs are open.
I’d love to hear what you notice and what you’re wondering. 🧡

Sometimes it's our younger selves looking through our eyes. Fascinating indeed 🧡

Great question. I think the gaze I get self conscious around is shiny successful secure people. Based on contrasts I feel with people I used to work with in my previous life as a (mostly) robot
