POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Hello! Sat Sri Akaal Ji, warm welcomes!

Lots of new lovely connections gently landing here with us, so I thought I’d do a re-intro which ended up turning into a Bollywood love story about textures.

I’m Poonam, an artist, somatic coach, creative facilitator, and texture-archeologist based in SE London.🌀

I create a sacred cocoon for women to slow down, step out of their creative blocks, find clarity and express their authentic self into the world. The warm sanctuary I hold supports you to cultivate and deepen an embodied knowing of trust, safety and confidence within your body.

My work dances between somatic healing, emergent strategy, art and play therapy, intuitive movement Ancient Wisdom rooted in the Dharmic traditions.

I weave together threads of craft, movement, sound, ritual, reflection, and prayer through immersive workshops, 1-1 coaching, talks, retreats, and programmes.

My artistic practice explores themes of textures of home, constellations of devotion, and re-discovery of sacred dimensions.

Textures have been one of the many constant threads throughout my life. Looking back, I’ve always been in awe of the transformation that emerges, through the patience of a process. That’s one of the many threads that pulled me into specialising in woven textiles at university ( story for another day).

My reverence for textures is deep, embodied knowing, a wisdom passed down through generations.

I describe myself as hand-woven tapestry, dyed with marigolds, embellished with cloves, jasmine flowers, stitched with fragments of amber resin, hammered gold and jaggery, and rays of sunlight.

I am a remembering of ancient opening, and growing new limbs of my work, which have felt tender as they grow new skin. I will be unveiling more and inviting you into real soon ( can’t wait to share all the treats that have been simmering, slow in clay pots on the open fire.)

I would to love to hear from you!

✨Comment below: describe yourself as a texture in the comments⬇️

I can’t wait to feel the textures flowing in!

With love,
Poonam🧡

Hello friends! I’m so excited be hosting my zine-making workshop, ‘Tend Your Inner Light’ with @dishoom this Diwali, in their brand-new Borough location. ✨

Together, we’ll celebrate the spirit of Diwali through the exploration of beauty, abundance, renewal, light, and inner connection.🌺

This is an invitation to slow down, explore the energy of Diwali, enjoy yummy snacks and make space for what you want to welcome into the year ahead.⚡️

Through images, words, textures, images and beautiful materials, we’ll create little zines filled with what makes us feel alive: what we’re grateful for, what we wish to nurture, and what we’re ready to call in.

I’ll be opening the session with a gentle grounding, then inviting you to create intuitively and share what emerges in your process, all accompanied by complimentary bottomless chai and snacks.

No creative experience needed, just a willingness to play, explore and follow the aliveness in you.

It will be a small, intimate group, so if you feel called to join us, book your space soon, as spaces are limited. See all the details via link in bio.

I can’t wait to hold this experience with you. 🪔

With love,
Poonam by @poonamdhuffer

How much of what you want to say, create or share gets lost in trying to make it acceptable or palatable?

I’ve been thinking about this a lot during my video challenge, and all the ways we doubt our own voice, our own knowing.

In small subtle ways that no-one would know about. We doubt our voice when we’re constantly editing it and hiding it.

The way we hoard our ideas in our notes app. The stories we decide aren’t interesting enough. The parts of us we cringe us and edit out.

I know how easy it is to hold yourself back when you’ve experienced rejection and I know being seen can so vulnerable especially when you’re sharing your heart and soul with the world.

And perhaps this is where your magic lives, in the practice of learning to trust yourself enough to express what is true, even when you cannot control how it will be received.

But when does protecting ourselves from others’
opinions become abandoning our own expression?

As we move through Navaratri, I’ve been reflecting on 🌺Shakti: the creative life force that moves, creates and transforms.

She reminds me that creativity doesn’t require perfection. It lives in the unfinished, the unexpected, the courage to begin before we feel ready

✨What if the very things we try to edit out are where our vitality and magic lives?✨

You don’t have to share everything.

But you can begin to listen for what feels true before making it palatable. To create, to change, to begin again.

💗This is the work I care deeply about: creating space for women to trust their voices, embrace the vulnerability of being seen, and share more of what lives within them.

If something in you is feeling called to take up a little more space, I’m opening a few spaces for 1:1 voice coaching. DM me VOICE and let’s have a chat. 🧡 by @poonamdhuffer

It’s day 7 and I’ve been thinking about how we find our voice and I don’t think it happens by thinking about it in isolation

or by hoarding our ideas, and gifts and just waiting for the right time to share them

We find our voice when start sharing our stories, our ideas, our songs. Even when it feels a little cringe. Even when we’re not sure of how they’ll be received.

Im only on day 7 of this challenge and im see how finding your voice isn’t just about learning to speak.

It’s about experience what happens in you when you do.

When someone listens. When something you say resonates with another human heart and soul. When you feel met rather than judged.

When you’re held in reciprocal connection, where the other person is open and receptive to what you’re sharing, your body learns that it’s okay to take up space.

That you can share something meaningful and true, and you can still belong.

Because your voice needs somewhere to land.

And you deserve relationships where it can.

I’m opening a few spaces for 1:1 voice coaching for women who are ready to stop holding back and start sharing more of their ideas and stories. If this speaks to you, DM me VOICE and let’s have a chat. 🧡 by @poonamdhuffer

Felt like doing a show & tell, enjoy 🤣😭

Sometimes you gotta just keep flowing and finding your rhythm…. even if it’s the wrong word, even if you stumble, even if you meander

Because it’s not about getting to the point, it’s how it’s feeling
and learning to take up space and not shut down your voice 🙌🏽

You don’t find the perfect time. You decide THIS MOMENT IS ENOUGH. That YOU are enough. And you begin.⚡️

How much of your life are you spending waiting to feel ready?

I’m starting to see how waiting for the right time can become another form of perfectionism, a subtle way of avoiding the very things we want.

We tell ourselves we need to be more ready, more prepared, more confident before we take that ONE step.

I know, because I’ve wasted a lot of time waiting, stuck in the pits of pain😂 believing that one day I’d finally feel ready.

But what if the magic isn’t in waiting? What if it’s in taking one small, messy, imperfect step?

We grow by trying. We learn through experience, not just by thinking, planning and dreaming.

Because while you wait for everything to feel perfect, life is unfolding.

And you’re missing the chance to dance, to play, to explore and to experience what’s possible.

That’s why I started this challenge. To let it be imperfect. To let myself be a beginner and give myself grace as I grow. To learn as I go instead of waiting until I feel ready.

And I’m discovering something so powerful: confidence doesn’t come before you begin. It grows as you take messy, imperfect action.

The fear of being judged will always keep you small and stop you from expanding into your fullness.

The cost of waiting is so much bigger than the discomfort of trying. Because every time you put yourself on hold, you put a little more of your life on hold, too,

You don’t have to wait until you feel ready to begin. Can you give yourself the grace to begin imperfectly and go with the flow?

🧡If you’re caught between “I really want this” and “but what if…?”, my DMs are open. You don’t have to figure it out alone. 🫶🏽 by @poonamdhuffer

How many stories go untold because we’re afraid of how they’ll be received?

How much of ourselves do we cringe at, erase or swallow to remain digestible and acceptable?

Your stories matter. Your voice matters. Your perspective matters.

What if letting yourself be seen helps another woman feel less alone, recognise herself in your expression, and awaken a truth she’s been too afraid to let shine?

✨What might finally change if you stopped swallowing the parts of yourself that are longing to be seen? by @poonamdhuffer

This year I’ve been practising being more radically honest.

With my clients, my friends and my family.

Speaking up more and saying what I truly felt. Not abandoning my truth just to keep other people comfortable, and being okay with not understood or liked even.

My body has got comfortable saying ‘no’ and not refreshing messages for replies, waiting for approval from the other person.

And I thought I was really doing really good😂 until….

my mentor highlighted two truths…(which felt like a wake up call)

I was still hiding behind the camera
and…. I was still making myself small😂

Because even though I was learning to speak my truth to other people in person, and I was letting go of how I was being perceived …

So I had to look at all the ways I was bullshitting myself and come closer to see what was underneath because

I was still avoiding looking directly into the camera and speaking to you.

I was still resisting sharing my actual voice on camera because something in me was still feeling a lil unsafe….

I had to ask myself: How can I say I’m embodying honesty if I’m still hiding parts of myself? 😮‍💨😭😂 that one was hard to sit with!

This challenge is already revealing sooo much wisdom!

It made me see that, honesty isn’t just about saying the hard thing to someone else.

Maybe it’s also about having the courage to let yourself be seen and stop making yourself small. 🧡 by @poonamdhuffer

Can I ask you something?

When was the last time you really listened to yourself?

Not to what your family thinks. Not to what society expects of you. Not to the voices telling you who you should be or how your life should look.

But to you.

I wonder how many of us have become so used to listening to the world that we’ve forgotten how to hear ourselves.

We silence our own needs. We question our intuition. We erase our desires. We edit our messiness to look perfect and have it all together. We look outside of ourselves for answers that maybe, just maybe, we need to make space to listen to our voice within.

And sometimes, finding yourself again doesn’t mean becoming someone new.

It means remembering the parts of you that got lost beneath all the layers of noise.

Maybe it’s in the rustling of the trees. Maybe it’s in the rhythm of your heartbeat. Maybe it’s in the silence, or in those little moments in between when something inside you whispers, this is what I need.

So, take a moment.

Take a deep breathe. Come back to yourself.

And ask yourself…

✨Whose voice am I listening to? And whose voice am I giving my power to?

What if coming home to yourself begins with simply learning to listen again?💗

And if this speaks to you, if you’re finding yourself in a season of reconnecting with who you are beneath all the noise, send me a DM.🧡 You don’t have to figure it all out on your own. by @poonamdhuffer

Day2/30: This morning I was reflecting on what happens when we express ourselves and suddenly… we cringe.

We become self-conscious.
We edit the aliveness.
We lose connection with ourselves as we imagine how we’re being received.
Our voice and our body constricts.

And if you’ve ever experienced being unheard, dismissed or minimised, perhaps you’ve learned to monitor yourself closely by editing, softening, even erasing parts of yourself.

I wonder what becomes possible when we stop looking for ourselves in the eyes of others.

✨What happens when we see ourselves first?
✨Hear ourselves first?
✨Meet our own gaze first?

The more I return to my own internal experience, the deeper my trust becomes in my knowing, my rhythm, my way of expressing.

And I wonder…

Whose gaze are you imagining when you express yourself?

What might change if you let yourself be the first person you truly listen to?

If this touches something in you, my DMs are open.
I’d love to hear what you notice and what you’re wondering. 🧡 by @poonamdhuffer

I’ve been on a journey from cringing at myself to feeling more comfortable in my own skin…

and with Venus Retrograde inviting us to reflect on self-worth, authenticity and how we value ourselves, it feels like the perfect time to explore this more deeply and honestly with you.

So for the next 30 days, I’m setting myself this experiment to show up on video and share something I’m learning, noticing, tasting, experiencing or discovering.

Posting this is an act of commitment and trust, to myself, and to Shakti that has been calling me again and again.

A commitment to staying in my body, present and connected, rather than abandoning myself the moment I feel exposed, awkward or vulnerable.

To notice the tightening, the urge to hide, the impulse to edit myself, and soften back into my whole-fullness.

To listen to my voice and follow the subtle threads of aliveness moving through me, not the voice of criticism that lives in me.

To let myself be felt, seen and expressed, without needing to perfect the experience or take 85 takes! 😂

Maybe feeling confident isn’t about never cringing at yourself.

Maybe it’s about coming home to yourself, again and again.

Feeling the vulnerability, feeling the wobble,

And remembering that none of it takes away from your wholeness.

You are allowed to be fully here, exactly as you are.💗

And maybe, as this experiment unfolds day by day by day… it will remind you of that too.

So here’s to being more honest, more experiments and sharing our magic into the world⚡️

Today is day 1 of 30! Let’s go!🔥

And if you felt a little “oh… this is me” reading this, come and talk to me. My DMs are open, tell me what’s coming up for you.

With love,
Poonam 🧡

We’ve been talking about this idea for a while and finally decided to make it a thing. ✨

We’ve realised how often we move through world without actually being in it. Headphones in, phone out, rushing somewhere, thinking about what’s next. We wanted to create an antidote to that.

The Art of Noticing is about slowing down, tuning in and seeing the everyday with fresh eyes. Letting your senses lead. Following little sparks of curiosity. Photographing the things that catch your eye. Sharing what you notice along the way.

This actually started as a private ritual between the two of us. We’d wander, take photographs and celebrate the small, beautiful things that made us feel more present, more connected and more alive.

And now, we’re opening it up and inviting you to explore with us.

A space to pause. To reconnect with yourself and others. To look closer and discover how much there is to notice when you take the time to see it.

🦋 This is for you if you…
- feel mentally busy or overstimulated
- want to slow down without needing to “do” anything
- miss feeling present in simple, everyday moments
- feel creatively full or blocked, and want to reconnect with a more spacious way of noticing

Come wander. Come look closer. Come notice with us. 📸✨
