Not sure if he has a scratch, dander stuck in his eye or what but it's all red and swollen, I'm giving it 48 hours and if it doesn't go away we'll be going to the vet (as per Google's advice).

If anyone else has had anything like this happen please let me know if there's any home remedies or something I can do to help until then.

This happens to Artie and Apollo with the changes in seasons. Our vet told us it’s allergies and if their goop turns green to bring them back in. We adopted them last August as kittens and around October/November it happened and again in the spring this year

This happens to Callie semi regularly! Her vet prescribed tobrex and now whenever it pops up she gets drops for a few days. I think she gets allergies because it's definitely worst in the spring :( sending healing vibes

Oh no 😢 That happened to Francis as well. I picked up some cat eye wash solution for him at a pet store and it went away in 2 days. Get well soon! 🙏

Could be stress related herpesvirus flare up, or he may have irritated his eye. Definitely take him to the vet if it doesn’t clear in the next day.

We had something similar happen to Coraline, they weren’t 100% sure what it was in the end but they said to bring her in asap because it was her eye, hope he gets better soon ❤️

Definitely vet time! My suspicion is a new stress / feline herpesvirus. Sometimes seasonal changes and dry air can trigger it but def tell us what your vet says!

Anything new in terms of scents? New detergent or perfume or something like that which could trigger allergies?
