How much did your pets cost? What's their story? I'd love to hear it!

I mean it when Gingi saved my life, he was my absolute everything, months of trying to save him, worrying he may not make it

I didn't expect to rescue a sick kitten but it was the most stressful thing yet the absolute best decision I ever made. He showed me what love was ❤️

Luna has always been a brat, a sassy little plant killer demon. She put me through a lot, but there's not one day I regret her.

She's the baby of the family, the biggest trouble maker, but she's also the sweetest thing ever. She loves kisses and cuddles. She's my little raccoon baby.

It took a year of a LOT of learning and training to get her to be where she is today! A LOT!!!!

I couldn't even be in an online class at home because if she felt she wasn't getting attention? She'd kill another plant or do something else that would get attention.

The years of hard work was all worth it!

Just to clarify, I only had THOUGHTS of rehoming her, I never once made any actions towards doing so or researched how, I just had a mental battle with myself about it and felt so guilty I even thought it.

This year has been incredibly hard for us. One week will be really good then the next a living hell. We don't have consistent days.

There was a week straight where Ember had an accident every single day multiple times a day, no changes in her lifestyle it just happens.

About 3 months ago or so, Ember stopped eating all together. She decided she hated her kibble and she wouldn't eat it anymore. I tried wet food. I tried freeze-dry food. I tried everything and she wouldn't eat. She'd eat 20-50% of her food.

We started getting her raw and she LOVED IT! DId really well in it for 3 months and then guess what? A couple weeks ago she decided she hated that too.

I tried wet food and adding all her favorite things and she would eat a little, 20-60% and that's it for a week. I really noticed she was weaker, having more accidents, really declining and I was genuinely worried.

Then magically, I gave her venison kibble on its own with nothing else just to try and she ate ALL OF IT! WUT?

SHE'S NOW EATING 100% of her food??? On Sunday she walked more than she has in months, she walked the entire loop (with many breaks) that our other 2 dogs walk, she has energy again (duh, cuz she's eating again), but this just shows you the ups and downs we go through.

Senior dogs are hard, it is what it is. But it's not a reason to just give up especially if they're not there yet.

She's doing better this last week and I'm so proud of her, but there's that little fear she'll decide she hates this food again and won't eat. That fear won't go away.

We're just cherishing every last minute with her. Giving her whatever she wants to eat. She wants to sleep all day? We let her. She wants to eat steak? Done!

Sorry for the late update, it's been a crazy weekend. Gingi's eye was completely normal the next morning, so 24 hours later it cleared up on his own. Major relief!! by @gingiandluna

Not sure if he has a scratch, dander stuck in his eye or what but it's all red and swollen, I'm giving it 48 hours and if it doesn't go away we'll be going to the vet (as per Google's advice).

If anyone else has had anything like this happen please let me know if there's any home remedies or something I can do to help until then. by @gingiandluna

Sometimes my cat gets really excited and starts to have an asthma attack. For Luna here, she doesn't like to be touched when she's having an attack. You can clearly see that when I touched her she jumped off the bed. So I try to stay really still and respect her space.

And no, it's not a hairball. I'm sharing this for feline asthma awareness. It's a pretty common disease in cats. Often brushed off as just a hairball.
