Sometimes the best solutions are the simplest ones!

For months, our Joint Health & Safety Committee had been looking for a way to make hearing protection more accessible. Earplugs were tucked away in an office, and our plan to build a dispenser kept getting pushed down the production queue.

Then came the light bulb moment! 💡

We repurposed an old gumball machine that had been sitting in our lunchroom for years, had our fabricator disable the coin mechanism, and filled it with 150 pairs of earplugs!

Now, hearing protection is easy to find, free to grab, and actually getting used on the way into the shop.

A little creativity, some teamwork, and a whole lot of problem-solving. Proud of our team for making safety fun, affordable, and sustainable!
