Kabar seorang bayi meninggal dunia setelah dilahirkan di RS Yabis Bontang, Kalimantan Timur, viral di media sosial. Namun, polisi mengungkap bahwa kabar tersebut merupakan rekayasa pasangan suami istri (pasutri). Mereka mengganti jasad bayi dengan bantal saat hendak dimakamkan. ⁠ ⁠ Perempuan berinisial AR ternyata tidak pernah hamil maupun menjalani persalinan di rumah sakit tersebut. Cerita mengenai kelahiran hingga kematian bayi itu dibuat oleh AR bersama suaminya, DN.⁠ ⁠ Humas Polres Bontang, Iptu Dani Purwantoro, mengatakan polisi melakukan penyelidikan setelah narasi dan video pemakaman bayi tersebut ramai beredar di Facebook.⁠ ⁠ Petugas kemudian mendatangi kediaman AR untuk meminta klarifikasi terkait kabar kehamilan dan kematian bayi yang disebut dilahirkan di RS Yabis.⁠ ⁠ “Iya, itu direkayasa dan diakui yang bersangkutan. Yang bersangkutan mengaku hamil, padahal faktanya tidak ada kehamilan. It’s been a long election, and I’ve had to fight for my place every step of the way. The Republican Party didn’t want me because I was a convicted felon. Running as an independent meant fighting to be heard without a party machine behind me. I believe the media would rather ignore me than give the establishment candidates real competition. Hell, on Election Day, they’re still using a blank silhouette instead of my picture. With all the pictures of me out there, you couldn’t find ONE? I took no campaign donations. No PAC money. I ran this campaign my way, stood by my principles, and said what I believed needed to be said. But the best part of this entire ride has been YOU. Every handshake, every conversation, every person who showed up, shared a video, or told me to keep fighting. You kept me going. In two hours, the polls close, and we’ll see whether the people are ready for change. Whatever happens tonight, thank you.
