I was born in a town just outside of Detroit—as a kid we went to the DIA (you gotta have art 🎶) and the science museum—later trips to Windsor to listen to jazz in dive bars. Betting on the ponies at Hazel Park when money was tight—the ponies never let me down!! Finally taking my kids to the Detroit Zoo. The Detroit area has a very special place in my heart.
When @zingermansroadhouse offered a class with Detroit Pizza, I took it! I’ve been making it on repeat ever since! Because EVERYONE loves it!
The sauce recipe is easy, 3 tablespoons of sugar, some garlic, I do use onion sometimes, tomato puree, and spices. It is amazing!
