New kind of spotlight today! We are so excited to introduce Jack, our one of our VA Chiefs for this year!
What is a VA chief you may ask? Such a good question - during our CA2 year we have the opportunity to apply for a rotation for CA3 where we serve as Anesthesia VA chief for 6-8 weeks🫡. During our chiefery, we are responsibile for crafting the daily VA OR schedule ✅, assigning attending/resident pairings 👯♀️, triaging add ons ➕, responding to day-time out-of-OR airway emergencies 🚨, and assisting our VA rotating residents as problems/interesting cases come up in the ORs 🤔! It’s a wonderful and highly coveted rotation where we get to practice our leadership and management skills!
