“When I bought my house interest rates were 22%!”

Yeah but your payment was $427/month, Harold.

Now you need 3 incomes and to eat ramen for 6 years to afford a house.

Are they starting off at 18? I’m Generation X and I flourished as an adult and retired at 37. Now I own a business. No offense to the last two generations but yall lack planning, patience and some work ethics. I could give you a plan where you can buy your home in 4 years with a free education, a college degree, certificates of training (also free) money, and about 100k and the ability to buy a home with ZERO money down…. But that requires work and sacrifice… boomers starting off at 18 in 2026 would own a home when they turn 23….

For all their faults, Boomers had tireless work ethic and knew success meant suffering. They'd likely still find a way to prevail.

IMO majority of them would most likely pool together, buy up the multi families and branch out from there because resilience has been lost. I’m not defending them wholeheartedly but they had more dedication to a bigger plan than this generation.

They'd do just fine! The psychological gap between Boomers and today's generation is the of the Grand Canyon¡ FYI, I'm a Mellinnial... Or imagine being the people who had legislation written making it illegal for them to utilize the FHA Loan prior to the Fair Housing Act of 1968... I'm not even going to get started on when Banks actually started doing the right thing! I just bought a duplex with literally no money down 4 weeks ago in Tampa, which is a horrible market right now! We got 167k off list price, closing costs paid, and utilized a down payment assistance program "there are 2,800 of them in the US --> again there should be no excuses from today's generation! We're renting to veterans at a very fair market rate giving a net profit of over 2k a month. This is our 17th door, and 6th time using the FHA program ~ No further questions your honor°⚠️
