[I’ve been feeling the absence of Bengali community in my adult life and realized I can change that, or at least try. My daily experience of being Bengali manifests in my family life, when I’m chatting on the phone with my parents in Bangla and also in a handful of friendships that I treasure. But I’m certain there’s a much more abundant experience to be had… perhaps a sweet picnic with nostalgic treats, making new friends, sharing ourselves and how being Bengali situates in our most definitely different but likely similar lives.]
