EXCLUSIVE: Yes, that was David Letterman and Matt Damon in the season-four premiere of 'The Gilded Age.' Eight minutes and 33 seconds into the episode, they play two gentlemen who silently cross the street. “It was a kind of hysterical moment when our production supervisor Leah Baker came up to me on set and was like, ‘Well, I have a kind of funny, interesting question: Would you like Dave Letterman and Matt Damon to be background on our set one day?’” @gildedagehbo executive producer Kate Churchill remembers. “I just started laughing.” But the simple idea ended up being "actually quite complicated" to execute. At the link in our bio, @azalben finds out how and why this cameo happened — and which one of the men is wearing his own hat 🎩 Photo: HBO
SEASON 40: WELCOME TO THE BALLROOM! 🪩 40 years of life, 9 years in the making, and one unforgettable night! For the past 9 YEARS, I’ve been dreaming, planning, and envisioning exactly how I wanted to celebrate my 40th birthday. And if you know me, you KNOW that Dancing with the Stars is my absolute FAVORITE show! Being on that ballroom floor one day has always been a dream of mine. So I figured, if I can’t be on Dancing with the Stars just yet, why not bring the ballroom to ME?! And that’s exactly what I did! From the stage and LED screens to the performances, sparkles, decor, photo booths, and every little detail in between, I wanted my guests to feel like they were stepping into their very own episode of DWTS! Anyone who knows me knows that when I have a vision, I go ALL OUT! There was no detail too small, no idea too big, and absolutely no holding back. I poured my heart and soul into making this night everything I had imagined for nearly a decade. But what made this celebration truly unforgettable wasn’t just the production. It was being surrounded by the people I love most. My family, my friends, and everyone who showed up to celebrate this milestone with me. You made my 40th birthday more magical than I could have ever imagined! A HUGE thank you to all the incredible vendors who helped bring my vision to life! I couldn’t have done it without you! 📸 Photography: @anthony.serrantonio 🎞️ Photo Booth: @snappedsociety 💇🏻‍♀️ Hair: @senadakxo 💄 Makeup: @kandice_mua 👗 Custom Dress: @mimozakadriaj 🍟 McDonald’s Storefront: @designfirmllc 🖤 Vogue Photo Booth: @designfirmllc 🎭 Stage & Production: @_oneofakindevents_ 🎈 Balloons: @theroyalsweetfairy @tsalvato 🎂 Cake: @theroyalsweetfairy 🎥 Videography @studiodobproduction @studiodob 🥙 Food @forte_ristorante 👩🏻‍🦱 Event Consultant/coordinator @theroyalsweetfairy 🍹🍸Bartender @shannonmacbar Tan by @glowcommando Here’s to 40 years of memories, chasing dreams, and never being afraid to go BIG! 🥂 Until then, keep dancing! 🪩✨ #Season40 #WelcomeToTheBallroom #40thBirthday #DancingWithTheStars
