Sita Ramam is a sweeping, deeply emotional period romantic drama set against the backdrop of the 1960s India-Pakistan conflict. The narrative follows Lieutenant Ram (Dulquer Salmaan), an orphaned Indian Army officer stationed in Kashmir whose life transforms when he receives heartfelt, anonymous letters from a mysterious woman signing herself as Sita Mahalakshmi (Mrunal Thakur). Driven to find her, Ram embarks on a journey that unravels an extraordinary old-world romance built on quiet devotion, unspoken understanding, and a connection that transcends social status and borders.

Their soul-stirring love story is put to the ultimate test when duty, political unrest, and war tear them apart, leaving behind a crucial, undelivered letter that remains unopened for two decades. Decades later, a headstrong Pakistani student named Afreen (Rashmika Mandanna) is tasked with delivering Ram's final letter to Sita. As Afreen uncovers the truth behind Ram and Sita’s sacrifices, the film unveils a heartbreaking tale of patriotism, tragic fate, and an enduring bond that proves true love knows no boundaries of religion or hostility.
