At Imhotep, we don’t just prepare scholars for college. We create pathways for them to get a head start!
To start the school year, our Imhotep family gathered for the Baba Joe Foster Dual Enrollment Middle College Ceremony, celebrating nine exceptional scholars selected for an extraordinary academic opportunity: the chance to earn a FREE associate’s degree before receiving their high school diplomas!
Selection into this prestigious program is no small accomplishment. Scholars undergo a rigorous process that considers academic achievement, attendance, assessments, recommendations, interviews, and their readiness to embrace the challenges of college-level coursework.
But this ceremony represented something even greater than academic achievement: it represented the power of the Village.
During the ceremony, scholars and their families joined together in a Village Pledge, committing to accountability, academic excellence, communication, and the collective responsibility of supporting each scholar’s success.
We also proudly honored the legacy of Baba Joseph T. Foster, whose commitment to education, leadership, mentorship, and service continues to create opportunities for future generations of Imhotep scholars.
To our nine newly inducted scholars: Your journey will demand discipline, determination, and sacrifice. But you were selected because we believe in your ability to rise to the challenge.
Your future isn’t waiting until graduation. You’re building it RIGHT NOW! Congratulations to our scholars, their families, and everyone helping make this incredible opportunity possible!
