The Light Within · Rooted
The Light Within speaks of a conversation that takes place beyond words, a dialogue of emotions and unspoken feelings. It is the quiet recognition that even when the world outside seems veiled in shadow, an inner light endures: the gentle, often invisible strength that keeps us moving when fear and doubt press in.
Shown alongside it, Rooted gathers five vessels of dark, fissured clay, each opening to release pale forms that rise and curl outward. Nilza Ying is a Dubai-based ceramic artist with a background in engineering, whose practice balances structure, control and experimentation. Drawing inspiration from nature, she creates intricate works exploring rhythm, texture and composition. She has exhibited at SIKKA Art & Design Festival and the International Biennial of Artistic Ceramics of Aveiro, Portugal.

I watched as your pieces drew the visitors of Monochroma to them Nilza. . . . Powerful, magnetic, elegant pieces that resonated with the viewer. Simply beautiful.
