Part of growing up is becoming the woman who takes care of the women who took care of you.

I’m due next month, helping Mom recover from major surgery, and realizing you can still need someone’s advice while being the person they’re depending on.

I don’t feel old enough for this part. Does anyone?

*For those who know our family personally, the Mom I’m talking about is my mother-in-love, JD’s mom. ☺️ She is doing well now, but we would appreciate your prayers for healing.

TRICK OR TREAT?! 👻

Halloween is actually a relatively new tradition here in Sweden. At least the American version of it! In the US, people obviously go ALL IN! 🇺🇸😂 Entire neighborhoods turn into horror movies, with gigantic spiders, life-sized skeletons, tombstones on front lawns, fog machines, and decorations that probably cost more than the average Swede earns in a month!

And here in Sweden? 🇸🇪
We put a pumpkin from the grocery store on our doorstep, light a little candle, and immediately start wondering if we’ve gone a bit overboard. 😂
Because God forbid the neighbors might think we’re getting a little too excited about something!

But things are actually changing! Every year, more pumpkins, cobwebs, and skeletons appear in Swedish neighborhoods. Kids run around shouting “TRICK OR TREAT!” while we adults have finally found a socially acceptable excuse to dress up, party, and look completely ridiculous! 😂👻

Then, of course, we have our own beautiful tradition, All Saints’ Day. ❤️🕯️
A peaceful holiday when we visit cemeteries, light candles, and remember loved ones who are no longer with us. It’s a wonderful tradition that deserves to be preserved.
Two completely different ways of marking this time of year. One filled with peace, reflection, and candlelight. The other with bloody zombies, plastic spiders, and grown adults running around dressed as devils. 😂
I honestly think we need a little more of the second one!
Because we’re now entering that absolutely WONDERFUL time of year in Sweden when the sun rises just as you arrive at work and disappears before you’ve even had time to think about lunch. 🌧️🥶
Everything is grey, wet, cold, and dark. Your car is dirty five minutes after washing it!
Personally, I’m already counting down the days until I can trade the November darkness, winter jackets, and freezing slush for palm trees, sunshine, and 30°C in Thailand! 🌴☀️

I’m the world champion of overthinking and the Guinness World Record holder for having the most anxiety. ❤️‍🩹

So this video is mostly for me… for the person who thinks too much, who turns everything into something much bigger than it needs to be, and who sometimes makes everything feel so difficult.

If you live like I do, I promise you’re not alone.

Thank you for being here, for following along, and for helping me along the way.

Thank you for everything. ✨❤️‍🩹🫂

Zoë Kravitz couldn't miss Harryween! The actress was the devil to Harry Styles' Elvis Presley at the penultimate show of his 30-night MSG residency. And looks like Riley Keough approves of Harry's tribute to her grandfather!

President Bukele reports that El Salvador is about to finish deploying soldiers and equipment in Haiti, and clarifies that the operation is not against the Haitian people, nor is it an invasion of the country.
“All we want is for our four aviation technicians to come home. And we are giving a lesson to the "gangs", those gangs that make the Haitian people suffer, that kill the people that the people love, that prevent them from living a normal life, free, without fear.
