some trad flash i drew and tatted mid september!! thank you so so much ashley for comin over and letting me tattoo whatever i wanted to :3c being able to do the first rose with one of the biggest needles ive used so far made me realize how much i love tattooing traditional tattoos

i love the technique and simplicity, the satisfying shapes, all the swirls and frills you can add to nearly anything to add a touch of fantasy…

This man rescued little squirrels inside a log then adopted them

I was cutting a tree down in the spring. Big old tree behind the houses. Sawdust everywhere.

I cut the top off and inside the log... movement.

Oh. Squirrel. Oh my god. I got a squirrel right here. Just cutting the tree down in the spring and there is three baby squirrels.

Three little gray squirrels. Eyes barely open, huddled together inside the hollow log, 40 feet up in the air. Their nest gone.

I rescued them. They were in a...

I reached in with my gloved hand and scooped them out. One by one. So tiny, shaking, covered in wood chips.

They clung to my shirt. All three holding onto my black hoodie, little claws, scared, looking up at me.

I took them down with me

Back on the ground, helmet off. One baby squirrel clinging to my chest harness, right over my heart. Just holding on.

Happily bathes them

At home, kitchen sink. Warm water. I held one in both hands, washing the sawdust off its fur. It opened its little mouth so big, squeaking at me.

Feeds each little one

I feed each one of these guys one syringe at a time. Holding one up, little syringe to its mouth. It drinks so fast, eyes closed, paws on my fingers.

One on my shoulder watching. Waiting for his turn.

Give her a kiss

My daughter in a camo hoodie, holding two squirrels on her chest. She kisses their little heads. They curl into her hoodie pocket.

Meeting their cat

At night, blue blanket. My black mama cat laying there with her own tiny kittens.

I put one little squirrel down next to her. She sniffed it.

Then she started licking it. Cleaning it.

Treats them like her babies

She curled around all three squirrels and her kittens together. Wrapping her black tail around them. Squirrels nursing right next to kittens. Three gray squirrels and three black kittens all in a pile on her belly, sleeping.

She licks their little heads. Loves them like her own.

The cutest little thing

Kitchen counter, big cage. A little squirrel jumping straight up out of the cage, mid-air, tail out, jumping at me to be held.

They're always so clingy

Now they live in my house. Three of them climbing all over me. One on my hat, one on my shoulder,
