i finally made my first flash page!!

i spent a lot of time thinking, overthinking, making stuff too complicated, and struggling with simplicity but i finally made it over the mental hurdle and started shitposting some art :) my heart belongs to the whimsical, silly, dreamy, emo… some memes and, of course, buttons that make you rub your hands together and revert back to a goblin when you see them in the unfortunately small but still full button aisle at the craft store

my mentor has me focus on linework for now to perfect basics before playing with shading or even color, so if you want something custom keep that in mind!!! im working on a traditional flash sheet next to pay homage to tattoo history and to really focus on good, clean linework

i know this is just a cute lil flash page but while making it i was thinking… they say to not make your passions your work, but what if i want to work for my passions? what if they aren’t a summer fling that i return to when the yearn is forcing my body to animate but rather a marriage i want to commit to, a slow burning passion, pleasure in the hardwork and teary nights where im unsure, soaring when it goes so smooth, and the simple happiness and everyday love? what if art is work that i want rest only when im warm among the roots of an oak tree?

i think i finally learned how to actually take good tattoo photos like yesterday so please bear with me while i run thru my catalogue to present day 👻

finally finished the matching cheshire set!! it’s so rewarding to get to see how ive progressed with an exact design, the amount of time it took, the confidence, understanding skin, getting to see results!!! ive got a lot to learn before i graduate, but im happy to also be at the place i am :3c thank yall for your trust, i love this design so so much

1st pic newest with stipple shading, 2nd was when the first cheshire was fresh (nearly two months apart!), 3rd is the second slide healed, 4th is third slide with fresh stipple shading to finish it off! i can definitely see lines that fell out and lacked control, but learned a lot from this, so thanks again for the whimsical idea and the trust of two besties 🫀🕸️ by @dreampaint333

white pine and hemlock-tree pinecones for a wonderful pair of teachers, thank you so much for your trust and your idea 🫀 genuinely this is one of my favorite tattoos ive done so far and i think it’s because of the subject matter, i love nature and i love nature tattoos, im a sucker for pine-trees and oaks, a huge part of my soul is tied to trees and i’d love to do some more nature focused stuff :3c thank u for also letting me freehand some sparkles to add some magic!!! shoutout to pinegrove btw for being the best band to bleed out to in the woods during golden hour x___X by @dreampaint333

STITCHES! on my lover 🫀🕸️ i made an emo animal crossing villager sheet months ago and haven’t been able to release it because ive been grinding lines and technical stuff, but after a while i was dying to do at least one of them x__X hopefully sometime soon i can release the full sheet! im moving some of the designs to my halloween flash which will b coming out soon :3c my first flash day will be October 30 & 31 for discounted prices!!!

BUNNY!!! more light and value studies! got a bad photo with good light that brightens the brilliance of the highlights and a good photo that ALMOST shows the depth of the colors… my ipad camera (hard to position while holding two things at once in a quickly fading golden light) >>> broken iphone camera

played with the original colors of the reference photo to saturate the painting :3c i love playing with color and im learning so much from these studies

DOMO!!! for the bestest 🫀🖤⭐️ one of my first tattoos fresh on the first slide and healed on the second!!! it’s so awesome to see how what im doing is healing. some of it got patchy and some of it healed smoother than what i put in, and i love to see all of it and learn a lil more everyday :3c

pulling seams kicking stones we are made of dreams and bones. ft. the agony

another light study project of a statue! in golden hour light! upped the contrast on the hair so it’s legible. tried to highlight with a contrasting minty green but i think i desaturated it too much… i still love the soft shading and the warm peach pinks ^_^ by @dreampaint333
