Candi Mundon King, Secretary of the Commonwealth

I had an an amazing time joining our illustrious Governor @abigailspanberger in celebration of homecoming with @officialvsutrojans! Thank you President @makolaabdullah and Dr. Cobb-Abdullah for the warm welcome, dancing and celebration of culture. A very special moment for me was running into VSU alumni, Dr. Linda B. Hayden. Dr. Hayden, a phenomenal researcher, scientist and educator, changed my life when she invited me on a college tour when I was 12 years old. She opened a world of opportunities for me. Seeing Dr. Hayden reminded me of the way we are all connected. So great to also see my phenomenal Sorors @repmcclellan @daunhester89 as well as Chairman Torian and @kimadamsfor_va !
