One thing about marathons in urban areas, sometimes daily life continues and you’ll have to be ready for some obstacles along the way.
Frogger anyone?
Also, before taping, some of us were about to help the individual with luggage and make way for the runners but one of the volunteers helped him out.
I’m sure it’s not expected but if you ever have to cross the street, be prepared.

Lol this happened to me last year in NYC but it was Fiestas Patrias. I had just mentioned to my husband that there aren’t that many Mexicans in NYC and then I found myself in the middle of a Mexican parade 😆❤️
