Follows in English:

¡Jallalla!

In honor of indigenous peoples' day, we remember the women who fought, organized, and gave their lives resisting colonial rule. Micaela Bastidas, Tomasa Tito Condemayta, Bartolina Sisa, Juana Azurduy, and María Parado de Bellido all played a major role in anti-colonial and pro liberation movements, yet their names remain far less familiar than those of the men who fought alongside them.

Indigenous women were strategists, commanders, organizers, and revolutionaries in their own right. Remembering them means challenging the narratives that push their contributions to the margins. Their stories belong to our collective memory, and the generations who continue resisting colonialism deserve to know the women who came before them.

Long live our revolutionary ancestors! ¡Jallalla!
