If you ever wondered whether those in the wellness space actually do all those things, let me reassure you that I do because, at my age, I take my health seriously and I look after it. Just like an older car whose parts, through wear and tear over time, are more likely to breakdown, the same can be said about the body. And just like an older car requires regular servicing, so do we. I’m using the car as an analogy, but I think it makes the point that as we age, we need to look after our health and we need to do it regularly. It might look like a long list, but start with one. Once that becomes part of your routine, add another. Which of these do you do? 💪Strength Training: to strengthen muscles and build bones 🧘🏻‍♀️Yoga: to regulate the nervous system, support sleep and manage stress ⚖️Balance Practice: for fall prevention and to help the body reorient itself 💊Vit D combined with K2: for many reasons, including mood, energy and calcium absorption 🚶🏻‍♀️Walking: the most underrated form of exercise that supports joint health and helps us maintain stability.
