The next generation of Lansing developers is getting to work!

Last week, we welcomed Cohort 3 of the Lansing SEED Academy, bringing together emerging real estate developers ready to turn ideas into meaningful investments in our neighborhoods.

Participants will build the skills and knowledge needed to move development projects from concept to reality, through hands-on training, mentorship, and professional connections.

We're excited to support this newest cohort as they help shape Lansing's future! 🌱

Dar-e-Nijaat (2026), written by Umera Ahmed and directed by Saqib Khan, is a Pakistani spiritual drama that follows the lives of people burdened by love, betrayal, guilt, and emotional trauma. The story centers on a young woman whose life is shaped by difficult relationships and painful decisions. As she struggles with heartbreak and the consequences of her choices, she encounters a righteous, deeply religious man whose faith, kindness, and integrity inspire her to seek a better path. The drama explores how every character faces trials that test their beliefs, forcing them to choose between worldly desires and spiritual redemption. Through themes of repentance, forgiveness, patience, and trust in God, the characters gradually transform and discover that true peace comes from returning to faith

Before Android vs. iPhone became the ultimate debate, we had a much more serious battle going on in every classroom… Team 0.5 mm or Team 0.7 mm?

If you used a mechanical pencil in school, you already know this wasn’t just about the thickness of the lead. It was about your writing style, your handwriting, and how often you wanted to deal with broken lead!

✏️ Team 0.5 mm — For the perfectionists who loved neat, fine handwriting. Every letter had to be sharp, every line had to look clean, and you probably pressed a little too hard while writing notes. But one wrong move, and SNAP! 💀 The lead broke right in the middle of an important answer.

✏️ Team 0.7 mm — For those who wanted a smoother, stronger writing experience. Less lead breakage, a slightly bolder look, and fewer interruptions while filling pages during exams. These people understood that surviving a three-hour exam was more important than having the thinnest handwriting!

And let's not forget the struggle of borrowing someone's pencil, accidentally breaking their lead, and pretending nothing happened. Or when your pencil ran out of lead right before the teacher announced, "You have five minutes left!"

The funniest part? Back then, we thought these tiny things were serious life decisions. Today, we barely think about them, but one look at these little lead containers can take us straight back to our school days, classroom benches, last-minute homework, and exam-time panic.

Now be honest… 👀👇 Which side were you on?

🔥 Team 0.5 mm — Fine lines, neat handwriting
💚 Team 0.7 mm — Stronger lead, smoother writing

Drop your team in the comments and let's settle this legendary school debate once and for all! 😂👇

Tag that friend who would literally argue with you over pencil lead thickness! 🤣
