Jay Vale | Colorist and Illustrator

It started with a color palette… and somehow turned into this! 🏡💜✨

I was testing out some colors for one of the illustrations in my new coloring bundle, launching October 16th on Etsy! 🎨

But then I picked up Johanna Basford’s Inklings, found this adorable little cottage, and well… one thing led to another! 😂💕

What was supposed to be a quick little palette test turned into a full coloring session, and I’m absolutely in love with how these colors came together!

Now I’m even more excited to try this palette on one of my own whimsical illustrations! ✨

Sometimes the best coloring moments are the ones you didn’t plan. 🥰
