Four years after we lost Sidhu Moose Wala, his music is still filling arenas. And now, he’s back on stage in a way nobody expected.
Sidhu Moose Wala’s Signed To God World Tour kicked off in Toronto with a hologram concert that brought his presence back to life. But here’s the crazy part: according to the producers, it wasn’t created using AI.
Instead, a real body double was trained in Italy to recreate Sidhu’s movements, while prosthetics artists worked on his appearance, tattoos and turban. The performance was brought to the stage using Pepper’s Ghost, a projection illusion dating back over 150 years.
It’s the same family of technology that brought Tupac back to Coachella in 2012 and Michael Jackson to the Billboard Music Awards in 2014. Now, Sidhu Moose Wala has made history with India’s first hologram-based world tour.
And the night was about much more than technology.
AP Dhillon, Bohemia and Raja Kumari took the stage to celebrate his legacy. But one of the most unforgettable moments came when Sidhu’s little brother, Shubhdeep, stepped into the spotlight and recreated his iconic thaapi move.
For a moment, the audience saw another Moose Wala.
Behind it all was an international team of creative minds, from prosthetics artists and body doubles to production designers and hologram technicians, making something that once seemed impossible feel real.
If you could bring back any artist for one last live concert, who would you choose?
