That was quick. 👀 Katie Zacharia has been fired as White House press secretary, CNN reports, less than a week after Trump named her to replace Karoline Leavitt. Her short run was overshadowed by questions about her legal credentials. Zacharia has long called herself an attorney, and Trump even introduced her as one. But reporters found no record of her being licensed to practice law in any U.S. state. When asked where she passed the bar, she said “when I moved to China,” even though foreigners are not allowed to take China’s bar exam. A watchdog group also filed a complaint asking the State Bar of California to investigate whether she misrepresented herself as a lawyer. Before the news broke, Trump said the media treated her “very badly” and that he told her, “Honestly, if I were you, I would reconsider. Maybe it’s not for her.” Thoughts?
