Hurricane Meadows in Falmouth is one of our favorite fall farms in Maine, and it has basically everything in one stop: a corn maze, jumping pillows, a corn pit, a potato cannon, pick your own pumpkins, farm animals, and apple cider donuts.

This year’s maze honors the Portland Hearts of Pine (“Lead With Your Heart”), and the farm is fundraising for their foundation. They also doubled their pumpkin and sunflower fields and added silo swings, a trike track, and a 20 foot slide off a combine. We haven’t tried the new stuff yet, so tell me what’s worth it if you get there first.

After the farm we head to Cumberland Town Forest for a flat gravel loop and a Story Walk, which makes an easy nap or wind down. The farm is open Fridays through Sundays until Nov 1, $15 per person with kids under 2 free, plus free parking and stroller friendly.

Save this for your next fall weekend near Portland.

Hurricane Meadows doesn't allow pets on the property (licensed service animals only), so this one is a no for the family pup. Cumberland Town Forest is the dog friendly stop, with leashed dogs welcome. I’d put an orange vest on your dog as hunting land abuts the town forest.
