Pitso Sekhoto from Eskom engaged students on “Eskom Opportunities for Students and Graduates” during the Work Readiness Project hosted by Engineering Student Chapters at the Prestige Auditorium, Dinokeng Building, Pretoria Campus. He highlighted opportunities available to aspiring engineers, including bursaries and entry-level programmes such as Engineer-in-Training (EIT), encouraging students to explore opportunities through Eskom’s official website.
Sekhoto also emphasised the growing potential of the energy sector, particularly in renewable energy and the Just Energy Transition. He encouraged students to identify their passions, build on their strengths and remain open to opportunities that can shape their professional journeys, reminding them that career growth goes beyond securing a first job to finding meaningful work that creates lasting impact.
