The first reactions to Street Fighter are calling it hilarious, with non-stop action, and one of the most fun movies of the year.
Thomas Ellinidis of One Take News said it pays homage to the games perfectly, doesn’t take itself seriously and is a total blast.
Daniel Baptista of The Movie Podcast called it perfect, a total knockout from start to finish and the most fun you’ll have at the movies this year. While co-host Shahbaz said it brings the game to life while delivering spectacular combat, great music and plenty of laughs, calling it one of his favourite movies of the year. E-Sports player Justin Wong said the movie is really fun and that everyone will love how fun it is.

🎮🔥 Street Fighter - Note 8/10! A real journey into the 90s! Colorful film, exaggerated, nostalgic and full of references to games. Well chosen cast, characters true to their essence, iconic moves and great fighting choreographies. Unlike the 1994 version, this adaptation honors Ryu, Ken and the entire franchise universe. My only caveat is that the script could delve deeper into the dramas and develop some stories better. Overall, I loved it! I hope it will be successful at the box office and a second film will come! 🥊🔥
