A just transition should include everyone. In conflict zones, using less oil is the transition.
Three years since October 7th. In Gaza, over 90% of the population is displaced, most living in tent camps among rubble. The land itself is a casualty of war.
But Palestinians are still counting their children every night, still rebuilding what they can, still refusing to leave. That refusal, not a wind turbine or solar panel, is the foundation everything else is built on.
We repaired a central generator that now powers 11 wells across three areas:
Siam Square: Al-Madhoun, Siam, and Aman wells
Al-Shantaf Square: Al-Shantaf, Banat, and Al-Majdalawi wells
Shuhada Al-Radwan Square: Al-Radwan, Qaffa, Al-Jisr, and Mahdi wells
Each well runs on a 3-horsepower pump. Together, they deliver water to families who have no other source. The generator still uses oil—but far less than before. In a place where infrastructure is a target, that is not a compromise. That is the achievement.

التحول العادل يجب أن يشمل الجميع. في مناطق النزاع، تقليل استهلاك النفط هو التحول.
ثلاث سنوات منذ السابع من أكتوبر. في غزة، أكثر من ٩٠٪ من السكان مهجّرون، معظمهم يعيشون في خيام بين الأنقاض. الأرض نفسها ضحية الحرب.
لكن الفلسطينيين ما زالوا يعدّون أطفالهم كل ليلة، وما زالوا يعيدون بناء ما يستطيعون، وما زالوا يرفضون الرحيل. هذا الرفض, ليس توربينة هواء ولا لوحاً شمسي, هو الأساس الذي يُبنى عليه كل شيء.
أصلحنا مولّداً مركزياً يغذّي الآن ١١ بئراً في ثلاث مناطق:
مربع صيام: بئر المدھون، بئر صيام، بئر أمان
مربع الشنتف: بئر الشنتف، بئر بنات، بئر المجدلاوي
مربع شهداء الرضوان: بئر الرضوان، بئر قفة، بئر الجسر، بئر مھدي
كل بئر يعمل بمضخة بقدرة ٣ أحصنة. مجتمعة، ت deliver المياه لعائلات لا مصدر آخر لديهم. المولّد ما زال يعمل على النفط—لكنه يستهلك أقل بكثير مما كان. في مكان تكون فيه البنية التحتية هدفاً، هذا ليس تنازلاً. هذا هو الإنجاز.
هكذا يبدو التحول هنا. ليس مثالياً. لكنه حقيقي.
