The last decades have not been peak-era picture books, if I see all these wonderful books. Going to the library with my kids, I find most of the books unimaginative, pointless and not very artistic.

From the eruption of your baby’s FIRST tooth — not when they learn to spit!
✅ What should you look for?
• Fluoride for cavity protection
• Around 1,000 ppm fluoride as a general evidence-based starting point
• An age-appropriate, soft-bristled toothbrush
• A formulation suitable for your child’s age
👶 How much fluoride toothpaste?
• Under 3 years: a tiny smear, the size of a grain of rice
• 3–6 years: a pea-sized amount
• 6+ years: continue age-appropriate fluoride toothpaste; supervise brushing and follow the product directions
🚫 What should you avoid?
• Choosing fluoride-free toothpaste as your default for cavity prevention
• Excessive amounts of toothpaste
• Swallowing toothpaste or leaving it within a child’s reach
• Assuming “natural,” herbal or whitening claims automatically mean better cavity protection
💡 Remember: Children who can’t spit reliably can still use fluoride toothpaste in the recommended tiny amount, with adult supervision.
