A few years into my career, I could tell you exactly how many auditions I'd done that year, which offices kept calling me in, and what I wore. Not because I have a great memory (because I don’t lol). I wrote it all down.
Most actors are running their careers on… vibes.🤷🏾♀️ You FEEL like you're auditioning less than last year, but you're not sure. You FEEL like one office loves you, but you couldn't name the last three projects they called you in for. You FEEL like something's off, but you’re not *exactly* sure why, so that feeling just turns into dread and negativity.
Here's a question for you: if I asked how you got your three strongest auditions last year, could you answer? Through your rep? A relationship? A self-submission? That one answer tells you where to put your energy next, and most of us have no idea.
Nobody calls to tell you why you didn’t book (or at least not regularly). But you don't have to wait for feedback that's never coming. You can collect your own. Even the auditions you didn't book gave you something.
Logging the audition is the first of five things I do after every single one. Comment YOUTUBE for the full Powerhouse Conversation on my complete audition ritual. The Table is where we read your tracker together so the patterns actually turn into a plan.
