An MSRTC Ashok Leyland Cheetah BS-3 Lalpari bus, rebuilt in-house was spotted on Jalna depot's sole interstate route to Kalaburagi/Gulbarga in North-east Karnataka (or Kalyan Karnataka), which is also KKRTC's headquarter.

This service departs from Jalna by 8.30 am in the morning and travels via: Ambad, Beed, Ambajogai, Latur and Omerga. There happens to be one more service departing from Jalna by 5.30 am, travelling via Dharashiv (Osmanabad), Tuljapur and Naldurg to reach Omerga and Kalaburagi, if I am not wrong.

I was quite surprised to see an old BS-3 do the route still and it would be nicer to see a newer bus on such interstate routes. According to the timetable, there also seems to be a bus service to Nizamabad by 10.30 am. When feasible, I will check both of them out.
