L’ART POUR L’ART BY COLT.

Our latest collection takes its name from the French phrase meaning ‘art for art’s sake’ — the idea that art doesn't need to serve a practical or commercial purpose to justify its existence. For this collection, we explored the idea through clothing, music, art and dance by working with creatives from across the North of England.

Here, we introduce Katherine Ochoa Lipiz. Born in Cuba and now a First Soloist at Birmingham Royal Ballet, Katherine has dedicated her life to the pursuit of perfection through dance since the age of four. Her story reflects the very idea behind this collection: that art is as much about the enjoyment of creating as it is about the finished product, and the freedom to pursue something simply for the love of it.
