No NFA approval doesn't mean no federal firearms regulations. The fight doesn't end here. While the ATF has stopped enforcing certain NFA requirements, the Gun Control Act of 1968 remains in full effect. Suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, and AOWs are still considered firearms under federal law. That means prohibited persons still cannot possess them, licensed dealers must continue completing Form 4473s and conducting required background checks, and existing restrictions on interstate sales and transfers still apply.
