I'm not taking any chances with my Salvia Love and Wishes this winter! ๐Ÿฅถ๐Ÿ’œ
She's been putting on a beautiful display, and I really don't want to lose her to the cold. So I'm digging her up, potting her on and moving her into the greenhouse for some extra protection. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿชด
Now it's fingers crossed that she makes it through winter and comes back even bigger next year! ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ’œ

Airbus and US partner Kratos have flown the U740 Valkyrie uncrewed combat aircraft in Europe for the first time, launching it with a runway-independent, rocket-assisted take-off at a test site in Northern Europe. Opinions on this thing seem to be all over the place but I don't know...I kind of loved it. The expanded backstory to Jason is every bit as lame as I assumed it would be but the episode that actually dives into it (Episode 7) is an escalation of schlock that was making me laugh. I can see it being disappointing to someone looking for a serious portrayal of Jason and the series mythology but I don't know...the Friday series has always had terrible continuity and never made sense so something that tries to tie it all together in a somewhat logical way was a nice addition. The fact that the attempt also ended up being really dumb feels totally in line with the rest of the franchise. I personally would have preferred something less grounded and more supernatural but it didn't kill the series for me the way I assume it might for other people. Aside from the backstory, I enjoyed pretty much everything else. The show really captured that laid back, everyone's just hanging out atmosphere of the early Friday movies and I liked a lot of the supporting characters. They even took the two counselors that were off having sex while Jason drowned and actually fleshed them out into interesting supporting roles. I've never thought about young Jason just being a normal kid since we see so little of him in the original movies but of course he would be. It was nice to see him as just this smart, kind child that was interested in exploring the woods and it added a nice wrinkle to his story that it was an attempted act of kindness on his part that led to his "death." And of course Linda Cardellini is great and I liked that the show didn't trying to soften the character's darker side to make her more sympathetic and allowed her to be a full-blown violent maniac that you could still empathize with (unlike the Carries series, which I also mostly liked but thought completely dropped the ball near the end by removing a lot of Carrie's autonomy to soften her for future seasons...ugh).

Help me choose, my dears: which character am I going to be? ๐Ÿค“ I found two pairs of true vintage cat-eye glasses, and I love them so much I made up a little backstory about each one. The brown pair feels like the kindly librarian who saves your favorite books for you. The blue sparkly pair feels like she knows all the village gossipโ€”and will tell you over coffee, once sheโ€™s established that youโ€™re trustworthy. ๐Ÿคญ Of course, the librarian probably knows all the gossip too.
