$Released in 2015, Aambala is a Tamil action-comedy film directed by Sundar C and starring Vishal, who also produced the venture under his Vishal Film Factory banner. The narrative centers on Saravanan (Vishal)—a man who runs a crowd-gathering business for political events—who falls in love with Maya (Hansika Motwani), only to discover that his family history is deeply fractured due to a long-standing feud in his native Madurai. Upon learning that his father, Aalavanthan (Prabhu), has been estranged from his three powerful sisters following a complex past, Saravanan and his brothers head down south to bridge the family divide. What follows is a colorful, high-energy entertainer loaded with trademark Sundar C tropes—including an expansive ensemble cast featuring Santhanam, Vaibhav, Sathish, and powerful antagonists like Ramya Krishnan and Pradeep Rawat—culminating in a series of comedic misunderstandings, high-octane action sequences, romance, and a grand family reunion underscored by Hiphop Tamizha’s hit soundtrack. THE LORD REIGNS! 👑

Most of the time, female friendships can be emotionally draining — filled with jealousy, competition, comparison, and sometimes even backstabbing. It may be an uncomfortable truth to acknowledge, but pretending it doesn’t exist doesn’t make it disappear.

And yet, every once in a while, life blesses us with beautiful women who genuinely support us, uplift us, stand beside us, and even work behind the scenes to see us succeed. Women who celebrate our victories without envy, hold our hands through our struggles, and always wish the best for us.

So, let’s be that woman. ❤️

Let’s be that Devi — the woman who empowers instead of competes, who celebrates instead of compares, who lifts other women instead of pulling them down.

Let’s create an environment where women feel safe to dream, courageous enough to grow, and powerful enough to thrive together.

Because a woman who knows her own strength has no reason to diminish another woman’s light.

Let’s be the Devi who awakens the Devi in every woman around her. 🌺✨

Bike lane defenders are back out this morning, in the rain, surrounded by cops...again... because safe infrastructure removal is apparently worth all this resource expenditure.

Strength in Numbers. Head down to Bloor and Royal York, 6am-4pm.
