One year ago, the ceasefire brought a moment of relief and the hope of something better for Israelis and Palestinians.

Today, that hope remains unfulfilled. Gaza’s families are still displaced, Palestinians are still being killed by strikes, and plans for reconstruction and a new Palestinian government remain stalled.

We cannot claim to stand for Israel’s future while looking away as its government denies Palestinians the possibility of one.

We cannot call for peace while excusing the leaders who stand in the way.

Who exactly is standing in their way? I’m no fan of the gvt but Hamas has refused any type of peace agreement beginning with disarming. How can you create a state next door when their gvts sole desire is to annihilate you. Let’s have some honesty here.
