turning point usa came to my school today to spread hate speech & i had to flash them my top surgery scars. no matter the anger they spew they can't change the fact i'm here & a boy & living in a body i decided to take control of. no matter the propaganda they try to spread they can't change the fact i've been living in a post operation body for three years since june or remove the hrt i've been pushing into my blood for three years this november. the twink looking guy in the back yelled 'female nudity' at me & said i was a terrible debater because i simply stood before the microphone shirtless. in reality, when my body comes with so much context, & my very living is antithetical to your cause, i don't need words. standing before you, alive & breathing in this body is radical & argumentative & protest of its own. i left yelling i'm transgender & i love myself because that is the end of the argument when it comes to white supremacist organizations like turning point usa. @turningpointusa your hate will consume you. i'm transgender & i love myself!!!!!!!!!! end of argument.

Taking your shirt off to show your scars isn’t an empowering act, it is an overwhelming wave of emotion leading one to have to get attention for the biggest insecurity that they have built their persona off of, it is not an articulate nor respectable nor honorable way to debate your opinion and gain the respect from people whom you call fascists, when they give people open space and mics to freely discuss politics, which is quite the contrary of fascism. You will always be a female, when archaeologists find your bones 100s of years from now they will still be female bones. So it’s not f this or fascist that, the conservative movement purely just sees it wrong to completely change everything about yourself when you are plenty special the way you are born. I am a man and I believe it is total disrespect to say I can become a woman, just absolute disregard and disrespect for the value and innate beauty of a woman. Men and women are special, we need each other, and are perfect the way we are! God bless you!

This may be my most surprising food find in Taipei to date, and yes, I was influenced by the local influencers. 😂 You can get the viral Erewhon smoothie experience in Taipei for about half the price of the originals in LA, and I had to see what the hype was about.

@heyday.taipei is a cafe in Taipei’s Xinyi District serving Erewhon smoothie dupes inspired by the famous Hailey Bieber Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie and the blue smoothie that’s been going viral on social media. I tried both the pink and blue versions, and if you’re in Taiwan and curious about the celebrity smoothie trend, but don’t want to spend $20+ on a smoothie, this is the place to try!

The Hailey-inspired Glow smoothie is made with Greek yogurt, strawberries, raspberries, rose, honey, maple syrup, acai powder and collagen powder. It costs NT$360 (about US$11), compared with around US$19–21 for the original Erewhon version.

Heyday has six smoothies on the menu, ranging from NT$280–420 (about US$9–13). A bit splurgy for Taiwan but if you’re visiting from N. America these are a great price point. Options include a green blend with mango, pineapple, spinach, cucumber and mint, plus blueberry and banana combinations, protein powder and other add-ons. So even if the celebrity-inspired drinks aren’t your thing, there are plenty of other blends to try. They also offer sushi and smoothie bowls if you’re looking for a light bite.
